group photo Because school started on Thursday. I managed to clean the house from top to bottom on Thursday(I even mopped. I despise mopping my own home), ran errands, did laundry, dishes, and read a book. All by 1:30p. It was weird but exhilarating.
I still haven't found a job, but I'm hoping to clean houses on the side instead of having a 9 to 5 type of job. It's a little tough to find something after being out of the workforce for 8 years.

Try 11 years out of the workforce. See what your school has available. Cafeteria, playground/cafeteria monitor, teacher's aide...It's something and it keeps your schedule the same as your children. I'll be going back to the high school in the cafeteria again this year. We don't start until Sept. 4. Have another week and a half to go. This summer has gone by so quickly and we've either been really hot and humid or down right cold. Today's high was in the low 60s, but by the weekend it's supposed to get back to the 90s. Are we in Kansas, Toto?
My favorite day of the year is the first day of school. :)
I'd look around at the school system too--you'd have all the same days off (so snow days, etc. would also be yours) and be home at the same time.
Good luck to you.
