Soccer season has begun

and I like outdoor soccer so much better than indoor. Maddie's team lost their first game last Saturday, but only by a goal. To me there is something wonderful in watching girls be competitive and athletic with no hair pulling. But with this time of year comes softball conditioning as well. On Mondays and Thursdays, Maddie has soccer practice and then Saturday is her game day. Wednesday is batting practice and Sundays are infield and outfield practice. And those are just her tournament team(softball) and soccer. Not her rec softball team. That starts in May. Oh, and CHarlie is playing baseball again, so I somehow have to figure out how to juggle all the practices, schoolwork, and their friends. My house will probably look like something off Clean House come the end of May. Yikes. lol

Katrina is having a "real" birthday party this year. SHe chose a luau theme. We are pretty lucky as we were able to find most everything at the $$ store. I was going to buy some grass skirts, but then found a deal online about making them from table skirts. I'm going to try that first, but I'm not terribly crafty. Well not crafty in that sense, anyway. We are going to make a bean bag toss game out of plywood with tikis on it. Katrina and I are also going to make a pineapple pinata. I think that will be easy because the balloon already kind of makes a pineapple shape. Hopefully by the end of April when her birthday comes, the weather will be nicer and we can have it all outside. So that's the plan. Here's to best laid plans and all. Plbbbt!

We don't do indoor soccer. I hate it. Outdoor is great. I love it. Both of the boys are able to play, even my really shrimpy one. :)

I'm mean--I won't let anyone play on more than one team at a time. I just don't have it in me.

Sarah's 3rd class had a luau party-I made a ring toss game out of styrofoam cones turned into volcanoes (black construction paper and red and yellow clay for the lava). I used leis for the rings.
Happy April!
