My kids are growing up

way too fast. I keep thinking I'm not old, I'm still pretty young. then I remember in just a few short weeks, my oldest will be eight. Didn't I just have her? Wasn't she a baby learning how to crawl just a couple of weeks ago? And does this mean the next 8 years are going to to fly by and she'll be 16 in just a blink of an eye? And if she is 16, then that means I will also have a 15yo boy and a 13yo girl. Oy vey! I can wait. Please, please let the next 8 years go by slower than the first 8. Unless she is a total pill, then fly time fly!

It's creative time with dinner menus again. The other night, I had no idea what to make with the sausage I had gotten out. So of course I hit the internet. Thank you , Anna, for sending me that link. I like that I can type in an ingredient and it finds me a recipe. I've also discovered that Italian dressing mixed with soy sauce makes a really nice marinade for pork. We had that with jasmine rice and a squash medley for dinner last night and it was really good. Of course the kids made icky faces at the squash because it was a frozen veggie, but we can't always have grilled zucchini, now can we? Tonight is taco night. That's always a winner.

I should have taken a picture of Maddie this morning. She was very retro. She had on a striped miniskirt, a pink hoodie sweater, cream tights, a pair of fake Uggs, and get this, hot pink leg warmers! She was so proud of herself and kept asking me, I look good, right? I hope she realizes that as she gets older, she is going to have a to get a job to pay for her clothes addiction.

Spring soccer season starts pretty soon. Maddie and Charlie both want to play again, so i guess they will. Trina wants to take tumbling. I think I'll let do in a month or so. After we get our taxes back.
