Well, that was anti-climatic

The kids and I decided to take a nature walk the other day at a local park. The weather was for once accommodating and we were bored. We also decided the dogs would enjoy a walk through the woods as well. So, off we went with me thinking this was probably one of my worse ideas. See, I'm what you call a pessimist. I was sure that this was going to wind up a tear-infested disaster or that one of the dogs would decide that they enjoyed the park more than home. I was completely wrong. Well, not completely. Trina did wind up crying after 2 hours, but the rest of us had a lot of fun, and the dogs slept great when we got home. We didn't see too much as far as wild life goes, but the kids insisted I take pictures of the few things we did see. The actual hiking trail was overgrown with spiders which apparently my big golden retriever is terrified of, so we stuck to the "road" that meanders through the five or so acres the park consists of. All in all, we have decided that any time Daddy has a day to himself, we are going to make a habit of this. Though, I am POSITIVE next time won't be so smooth.

I can see you are enjoying your camera! Did Trina take that picture of you and the other two? Cute pic! Sounds like you had fun. A dog afraid of spiders. Will wonders never cease!

No, I took the picture. Trina was too busy whining and crying by that time. I looooooooove the camera. Every picture turns out decent.

Cool! I love it when the four of us go out and explore. We had a very outdoorsy weekend, too.
