Flowers are blooming here. For the first time in 2 years. So far no one has molested my irises like they did my tulips. Right after I took that photo of my tulips, the neighbor kids picked them. I was not pleased. But after giving them a stern talking to, my irises are still standing.
Charlie is our gardener. He has a patch by our pool that has an orange rose bush, some red flowers I can't recall the name of, orange lilies, purple flox, tiny red carnations, a cucumber plant, and yellow marigolds. He wanted a rainbow garden and while now it's a little sparse, over the next few years as some of the plants spread, it'll fill out quite nicely. I hope. I think we'll transfer the dianthysis we have in pots to his garden later, probably early fall.
