Thinks my son has an anxiety disorder. WTF?! He doesn't have fears, he has manic mood swings. Josh is beyond angry and I'm disappointed and angry. I plan on discussing this with his therapist because I think she was a little surprised that the dr said anxiety and not mood disorder.
I'm not wanting to drug him, but I want to start treating him for the right disorder.
I just want to pull my hair out and scream.

I'm not saying that the psychiatrist is right, but it might be that kids respond to anxiety differently than adults. Can you get a second opinion?

we are getting a second opinion, definitely. This dr made his diagnosis after 15 mins of reading Charlie's file and talking to me. Not even Charlie.
